YoungLife Challenge
in partnership with Intrepid Travel

Take the Great Ocean Road Challenge! We are looking for 10 people to challenge themselves to hike along the Great Ocean Road Walk newly opened in 2006 and raise vital funds for Young Life Belarus.

This is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of teenagers living in Belarus…and have the experience of a lifetime along the way.

Share with your friends, family and work colleagues that you are doing a Charity Challenge to raise money for the work of Young Life. Invite them to sponsor you and you'll be on your way to experience an awesome challenge as well as raise money for a great cause. All gifts are fully tax deductible for Australian & US residents, so raising the cost of your trip should be as easy as asking others to sponsor you. Any contributions you personally make to the fundraising total are not tax deductible.

Great Ocean Road Walk

What's It All About
Come and experience what is destined to become one of the world's great hikes - right on your door step. Opened in 2006, the new Great Ocean Walk spans 91 kilometres of one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in Australia. If you think you already know this area from driving the Great Ocean road think again! The walk takes you to unspoiled and previously inaccessible terrain, far from crowds and traffic. Breathtaking coastal scenery, deserted wild beaches, sheer cliffs, historical lighthouses and shipwrecks, giant mountain ash forests, pristine river estuaries, abundant wildlife, dunes and coastal heathlands all await the intrepid hiker on this exciting adventure.

The Great Ocean walk extends from Apollo bay through the Great Otway National Park, to the famous Twelve apostles near Port Campbell. Along the way it traverses some of Australia's most amazing coastal scenery, cutting through the Otway National Park where mountains and forest plunge dramatically to meet the Southern Ocean. The trail is rich with wildlife as the Otway national park is home to over 60 threatened species, so expect to see Wallabies, Koalas, Echnida's and other iconic Australian wildlife on your hikes as well as abundant birdlife.

We have chosen the highlights of the walk for this event, offering some of the most spectacular and remote sections of the trail to showcase the wonderful diversity of scenery and habitats. Please note that the minimum group size required for each departure is 8 people. In the event we do not reach minimum numbers you can either choose another departure or get a full refund.
